Issue description:

Building managers, directors and owners of facilities visited by many people face the issue of ensuring security and controlling access to the building.

In the age of modern technology and smart IoT devices, it is reasonable to have at least basic security in place in order to detect any unauthorized persons at the premises (school, residential building, workplace, and so on). In addition, it is possible to benefit from other useful information and capabilities.

Our HWg-SH4 system is well-suited to solve the problem. A single unit can handle two main locks/doors (and more with the optional SH4e/s units). Any lock can be connected (for more information, see the Application Note). No more troubles with keys; each user is assigned an RFID token. The master HWg-DCD2 software provides a clear overview of who and when entered the building/premises. In addition, the database is also kept in the internal memory of the unit. Configuration and access rights assignment can be done directly in the HWg-SH4 control unit, or using the HWg-DCD2 software. The SensDesk mobile app can provide a remote overview and control of the lock. If necessary, it can be used to let a person in or out of the building. The system works on-line as well as off-line. If needed, CCTV cameras can be also connected to our HWg-SH4 unit, too. Connectivity is ensured via digital inputs/outputs. This allows the camera to be turned on/off using a relay, and if the camera can switch a contact, it can send a signal to the control unit.
