Monitoring

Environment, building equipment, industrial sites and ITsystems, as well as utilities, need to monitor their environment and operational conditions reliably and efficiently. An overview of selected variables such as temperature, pressure, dew point, lighting level, air quality, machine operation or vibration, provide a comprehensive picture of the state of the equipment and enable the operator to respond appropriately.

Link all your devices to your software – SensDesk concentrates values from multiple devices

HW group produces various devices with different characteristics and intended applications. Most devices are designed to be integrated into larger monitoring systems using SNMP, XML, Modbus/TCP or MQTT.

However, in order to combine different devices in a single system, either the system needs to support all of them, or a common “concentrator” is needed. The SensDesk portal can play this role.

New Actions module in the SensDesk portal

The SensDesk portal can send alarm messages and perform operations such as switching outputs based on readings retrieved from HW group devices. The new Actions module allows to manage the corresponding settings from one place. Actions can now be defined on sensors, inputs, outputs, as well as devices. So, a loss of communication does not need to be inferred from a sensor state anymore but it can be indicated with a specific message.

Changes in SD SafeRange in SensDesk

This document describes changes in the setting of ranges for sensors in the SensDesk.com portal. All settings can now be done through the sensor settings in the portal. Existing customers used to separate range settings in SensDesk and in the device need not worry, this possibility will remain.
