Perseus Monitoring 145 is a remote environmental monitoring device with advanced alarming, local conditions and actions. It can be used to integrate all sensors at the remote site (telco room, industrial machine or warehouse).

Perseus Monitoring 145 combines data from external physical sensors / detectors with data from other HWg devices connected via LAN. Local conditions, Lua scripting, calendar or periodic scheduler help to analyze the measured data.

The alert situation can be indicated locally by switching DO (relay outputs), sent from the device as standalone alerts (SMS, Call, Email) or analyzed & alerted from the Portal (SensDesk Technology) with Graphs, Virtual sensors, Device Invalid alerts, PDF reports or Portal account open API (SNMP / XML). Perseus device can also individually share all measured values via the Open API (SNMP, MQTT, Modbus/TCP, XML, ..)

External detectors (Dry Contact) can be connected to 4x DI (Digital Input). 
4 digital inputs can be used to connect simple detectors (open/closed contacts), a WLD zone input and 2 relay outputs that can be controlled via the device’s interface or according to the value of a connected sensor or detector, for example to control air conditioning, ventilation or automatic doors.

External water sensing cable up to 185m in total length can be connected to 1x WLD zone port (Water Leak Detection).

External sensors can be connected via 4x RJ11 ports (1W-UNI sensors from HW group) or via RS-485 (generic Modbus/RTU sensors). Perseus can also analyze sensor data from other LAN devices (Meters API: STE2 R2, generic SNMP, …).

Meters API is a unique feature of Perseus products - reading values from external LAN devices. This means that Perseus can connect via LAN to other devices on the same network and analyze their sensor data.
For example, Perseus can read the temperature at the site from its own 1W-UNI temperature sensor, compare this temperature with the temperature sensor connected to the external STE2 R2 thermometer and the temperature probe in the UPS (available via SNMP - Meter API). Alert can be triggered when at least 2 temperatures exceed critical temperature.

Internal LTE modem allows for backup connectivity to the Portal, as well as SMS and Call alerts. Alerting from the Portal is recommended, it’s reliable for LAN even with the LTE device connectivity, the user can be alerted if the device is disconnected (Device Invalid Alert). The Perseus 145 internal LTE modem can also be configured as an SMS gateway for other HW group devices.

HW group company produces a wide portfolio of external sensors - Temperature, Relative Humidity (%RH), Voltage, Current (4-20mA) and other sensors and detectors. Third party detectors (with relay output) can be connected to DI inputs. 
Third-party sensors can be connected via RS-485 (Modbus/RTU) or as LAN devices via Open API (SNMP, Modbus/TCP, MQTT).

A typical application example is monitoring temperatures in a remote warehouse with freezers. There are 4 temperature sensors (inside the fridge / freezers), up to 60m 1W-UNI physically connected to Perseus 145. External UPS with SNMP support can be monitored by SNMP (battery status).

Perseus Monitoring 155 is a 19" rack mount device for environmental monitoring of a data center cabinet or entire server room. Up to 100 external meters (sensors) with 1000 values (variables) can be connected.

Within one 19” rack unit there are useful 8 RJ11 ports for external 1W-UNI sensors, 16 DI ports (dry contacts), 1 WLD zone input for Water Leak Detection sensing cable, and 4 relay outputs. Perseus 155 can be powered from 9-30V, -48V or from PoE.

The combination of the RS-485 physical interface on the Perseus 155 and the Modbus/RTU Meters API allows data to be read from third party electricity meters, UPS or air conditioning products.

Poseidon2: Solution for Industrial Internet of Things

Poseidon2 and Damocles2 have a physical interface to classic Ethernet and represent the universal Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions. Thanks to the Ethernet interface, it is possible to transfer from the device not only current values but also data, stored in the device buffer.
The data can be transmitted via the HWg-Push protocol to the SensDesk public portal, HWg-PDMS software or 3rd party systems using the MQTT IO protocol. Data can also be emailed to PDMS, and the software will download it from the POP3 POP3 mailbox or its secured POP3S variant.
The Sensesk IoT portal provides quick previews of current values on the mobile phone as well, or it can display graphs of measured values up to 3 months back. It also includes the ability to set alarm messages via e-mail or SMS (with own HWg-SMS-GW3 gateway) in a cloud-like web page.
IoT PDMS software allows to collect all measured data and convert it to Excel format. It can then perform its own analysis. Excel reports from PDMS can be used to document environmental values for control bodies, for example, in pharmacies and food industry.
IoT protocol MQTT is another option to connect Poseidon2 and Damocles2 to IoT portals such as MS Azure and others. Thanks to this, you can combine data from HW group units in one cloud (portal) with third-party devices. 
 

Poseidon2 4002: a complete system for environment monitoring in a rack or data center.

The Poseidon solution monitors a 19" rack or an entire server room. 42 sensors are supported (temperature, humidity, smoke, flood, electricity supply status or failure, entry to the room, digital inputs).The 4002 model can be mounted as a 1U device, or outside of the 42U space.

The Poseidon 4002 monitoring system fits into a 19" rack and is SNMP compatible. Two monitoring applications (PD Trigger and HWg-PDMS) are included free of charge.

Alerting to critical situations is performed by e-mail, SNMP Traps, SMS (GSM modem required) and output relays. The relays can be used, for example, to switch on a backup air-conditioning unit or to restart a server.

Information about PoE compatibility

Our products comply with the standard IEEE 802.3af.
The standard IEEE 802.3af and subsequent IEEE 802.3at do not cover all real parameters for power over ethernet. For example, current limiters and protections that protect your device from damage (necessary for backward compatibility with non-PoE devices or to protect your PSE from overload).
As a result, some PSE is more or less sensitive to PD in power-up. 
Our recommendation is to test it before using it. If you find any incompatible device, we would be happy if you let us know (Model/SN/firmware/manufacturer).

Current HW group products are PoE PD Class 0.
We are also working on an improvement to meet Class 1 or Class 2 (resulting in lower reserved power in PSE). But because of known issues with compatibility, it's still under development now.

HW group collects all reports you kindly provide us about PSE and continually improves product compatibility.
